Big 5 safaris

Game drives are conducted on our 5,500-hectare Rietspruit Big 5 Game Reserve, which is home to a huge variety of wildlife with wide-ranging views of the beautiful Drakensberg Mountain Range and Blyde River Canyon. ​Jump aboard our open safari vehicles with our knowledgeable guides, either in the early mornings or late afternoons and encounter animals species such as lions, elephants, cheetah, leopard, African wild dog, both black and white rhino as well as a host of general game. ​Due to our close proximity to Hoedspruit, we are able to offer non-resident guests the chance to join us for game drives. Pre-booking is essential.

Our intimate open-air thatched lapa Spa overlooks the Safari Manor waterhole, offering the perfect ambiance to completely relax, and unwind.  In addition, you have the unique possibility of a spa-safari experience, right from the comfort of your treatment bed! While we prioritize your privacy during spa treatments, we cannot control the herds of Peeping Toms leisurely strolling past to quench their thirst at the waterhole. Step into a serene oasis and let our highly skilled therapists whisk you away from the demands of your everyday life. WALKING SAFARIS

At Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor, we offer guided safari walks for guests who want to experience the African bush from a different perspective. These walks provide a unique opportunity to slow down and truly connect with nature, focusing on the smaller details that are often missed on game drives — from fascinating insects and animal tracks to plants, birdlife, and more. Led by Jem Harris, an experienced guide, each walk is not only educational but also deeply immersive, offering insights into the intricate ecosystems that make up the wilderness. Please note that safari walks are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
