OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES

There are several off-site activities available at Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor including our unscripted open-air vehicle safaris, bush walks, boat trips on the Blyde River Canyon, full day Kruger excursions, Canyon helicopter flips, etc.

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK 

Day trips are offered into the park.

Experience a day trip to the famed Kruger National Park, home to the Big 5, a multitude of plains game species, and a vast selection of fauna and flora, unique to the Lowveld. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide, whose knowledge of the Kruger network and hotspots makes locating those elusive predators or rare game sightings a bit easier. This fee includes all entrance fees, transport, food, and drinks for the full day, not to mention your own private talking Google-search-engine at the wheel!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • This is a full-day activity with vehicles usually leaving the lodge at 5 am.
  • Don’t forget sunblock, hats, jackets for the cooler months, binoculars, and cameras.
  • We do not typically allow children under the age of 6 years on open vehicles. It is recommended that parents pre-book the closed vehicle option.

This charge includes all entrance fees, transport, picnic and drinks for the full day

HELICOPTER TRIPS

Explore the BLYDE CANYON by air

Let our experienced bush pilot whisk you away and take you on a flight across the African bushveld, and into the spectacular Blyde River Canyon. Enjoy the dramatic views as the helicopter winds its way through the gorges, which also provides an outstanding photographic opportunity for you to capture some “forever” memories.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • The flight departs from our helipad next to the boma.
  • The duration of the flight is approximately 35 mins in total.
  • This activity is weather-dependent and availability-dependent. Two aircraft are available as per pricing below.
  • There are weight restrictions per passenger.
  • 1 x 3 Seater + 1 x 4 Seater available.

BLYDE CANYON + PANORAMA ROUTE

Day trips

Relax in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus whilst our knowledgeable guide takes you on a tour of South Africa’s scenic panorama route. Enjoy commanding mountain views and the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, one of the world’s largest green canyons. You will visit the historical viewpoints; Bourke’s Luck Potholes, The Three Rondavels, God’s Window, and the Berlin Falls, lunching at one of the interesting stops along the way.

  • This is a full-day activity.
  • Vehicles leave the lodge at approximately 9 am.
  • Don’t forget sunblock, hats, jackets for the cooler months, binoculars, and cameras.
  • All ages are welcome.

A BOAT CRUISE

ON THE BLYDE DAM

Hop aboard the Blyde Boat and discover the largest ‘green canyon’ in the world. An interpretation cruise by a tour guide will take you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa Waterfall and the Three Rondawels. An abundance of wildlife will keep you captivated while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. The waterfall cascades 200m (around 660 feet) and is the second tallest tufa waterfall on earth.

  • This is a 3 – 3.5 hour activity including the transfers.
  • The boat trip itself is 1.5 hours.
  • Don’t forget sunblock, hats, jackets for the cooler months, binoculars, and cameras.
  • All ages welcome.
